Each 50 ml contains:
|Carbon hydrate-iron complex||27.00 g|
|(=Trivalent iron||1.00 g)|
|Water for injection||31.00 g|
Injectable iron supplement for sport horses. The complex decomposes slowly, after which the trivalent iron hydroxide is stored in the form of ferritin (depot iron) in the liver. From there it is transported in the form of transferrin to sites where haemoglobin, myoglobin and iron-containing enzymes are synthesised. The increase in haemoglobin takes place more rapidly and surely than with orally administered iron preparations.
For treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia.
