Diprophylline, derived form theophylline, with its bronchodilator spasmolytic properties, is a CNS stimulant, a central respiratory anaesthetic and a coronary vasodilator.
Terpin associated with oxidation products or turpentine (excipient), has a decongestant and antiseptic action, drying bronchorrhea, fluidifying.
Diprophylline is completely eliminated by urine in its parental form. Its elimination half-life is very short (2 – 8 hours depending on the species)
